Professional
I began my financial services career more than 30 years ago with Fidelity Investments, followed by a decade in senior management at a publicly traded company. For the past 24 years, I have advised individuals, business owners, and high-net-worth families, focused on sophisticated investment strategies, asset allocation, business transaction planning, multi-generational wealth transfer, and risk management for concentrated stock positions.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in the sale of more than 25 companies totaling over $1.5 billion*, helping entrepreneurs navigate liquidity events through thoughtful estate planning services and strategic reinvestment. I have also worked closely with clients to manage approximately $500 million in concentrated stock positions, focusing on risk mitigation and income generation.
I am a graduate of Southern Methodist University and hold a Certificate in Financial Planning from SMU, earned through a two-year program. I have been recognized by RBC as a member of the firm’s Director’s Council and President’s Council, and I serve as a senior member of the Investment Advisory Council. I have passed the Series 7, and 63, ande exams and am a licensed insurance representative in Texas and Florida. I was honored to be named a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor (SHOOK Research) for Texas in 2025 and 2026.
Personal
My wife, Martha, and I reside in Dallas, Texas. We have three grown children—Natalie (and her husband Eduardo), Sam (and his wife Taylor), and Joe, who is a member of our team at RBC.
We are deeply committed to supporting our community through both our time and resources. Our passions include helping children in need gain greater opportunities, supporting our alma mater through involvement with the Mustang Club, and contributing to the churches we attend. I also dedicate time to mentoring individuals who are working to find their path and purpose.
