Heather is managing director – financial advisor and part of the Portfolio Director Group at RBC Wealth Management. Heather has earned her Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation—a professional certification that is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)—to assure a fundamental understanding of the principles of fiduciary duty, and a process for carrying out fiduciary responsibility. Less than 10% of all financial advisors in the U.S. have earned this designation. Heather brings her experience from nearly two decades in the corporate world in a variety of leadership, operational and technical roles, mainly with Fortune 500 companies.
Heather is an active participant in the community, most recently serving on the boards of directors with the Edmonds Senior Center/Edmonds Waterfront Center, Boyer Children’s Clinic and RBC Women’s Association of Financial Advisors. She was part of two successful capital campaigns for the Edmonds Waterfront Center and Boyer Children’s Clinic, and various endowments at the University of Washington.
Born and raised in Seattle, Heather graduated from Franklin High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College, and a Master of Science degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the University of Washington. She has lived in the Ballard area of Seattle since 1995 with her husband and two children. She is an adventurer/competitor, former coxswain on the U.S. National Rowing Team, earning a bronze medal at the U.S. Olympic Festival, and enjoys traveling, running, skiing and skeet shooting.
Heather passed the Series 7, 9, 10 and 66 exams. In addition, she holds annuity, life, health and long-term care insurance licenses.
