Helping clients form detailed wealth management plans to meet their goals, as well as ongoing client relationship management, are among the skills Matthew lends to the team. He spent more than eight years in the real estate development and construction industries before his transition to financial services in 2007. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Colorado and a Master of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. and is a specially qualified Senior Portfolio Manager in the firm’s Portfolio Focus Program. Portfolio managers help clients pursue their objectives by managing, on a discretionary basis, their own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, model portfolios and third-party investment strategies.
Outside of the office, Matthew served on the founding board of a new charter school and as a baseball and football coach for his son. He is also an active alumni of the Leadership Denver program and Social Venture Partners. Matthew and his wife, Trish, have one son.
