John began his career in 1984 as a petroleum land man for MSC Corp, after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. Shortly after, he joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor and continued on to work for some of the country’s top financial institutions. In 2017, he made the decision to move his business to RBC Wealth Management, joining us as a senior vice president – financial advisor.

John is active in the community, sitting on the board of Tanglewood Homeowners Association, Costero Men’s Breakfast Club, Episcopal High School Dads’ Club, Post Oak Little League, and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. He is also a member of the Costero Club, Houston Country Club, and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. John has donated a significant amount of time coaching youth sports and in his spare time enjoys golfing, tennis and enjoying Houston’s dining scene.

John has been married to his wife, Virginia, since 1991 and has two children, Mary and Mason.
