Michael is a native of Buckhead in Atlanta and began his career in the financial services industry in 1983. His primary objective for clients is to know them on a personal and professional basis to fully comprehend his client’s overall family dynamics. From there he formulates a strategy for his client’s long term goals and a plan is created. Once established the investment plan is implemented and monitored by Michael regularly. Michael prides himself on being readily accessible to his clients and enjoys educating them while navigating the economy and capital markets on their behalf.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech. Michael also studied finance and economics at Georgia Tech and was always interested in the capital markets and financial services as a young adult. Michael passed the Series 3, 7, 8, 63 and 65 exams.
Michael has been involved with many different organizations in different capacities including board memberships for both the Georgia and Alabama Securities Dealers Associations; Capital Campaign Chairman for the Lexington, KY Arts & Cultural Council; Capital Campaign volunteer for the High Museum of Art – Atlanta; Georgia Tech 40th Reunion Committee Vice Chairman; member of the Rotary Club International; Board Member of the Lexington, KY Children’s Museum; Leadership Lexington alumnus; Board of Directors for Buckhead Baseball Little League – Atlanta; Senior Resident member of Piedmont Driving Club – Atlanta; President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity while at Georgia Tech. He is also a former board member of Tuxedo Park Civic Association – Atlanta.
Outside of the office, Michael is the proud father of four children, Eleanor, Michael King, Robert and Katharine. He coached for many years at Buckhead Baseball and Northside Youth Organization – NYO and is also a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Church – Atlanta.
