Qualifications
I graduated Gettysburg College after four years of liberal arts study, with a Bachelor of the Arts degree. After a decade of hiring and managing retail business for The Disney Store, Structure & The Gap I decided to change career paths. I have been guiding clients on their financial journeys since 1998, when I joined Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co. In 2005, I teamed up with my father, Charles Luck, at Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. which was subsequently acquired by RBC Wealth Management in 2009.
After completing the required coursework at the American College of Financial Planning, I received my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate in 2004. CFP® professionals are dedicated to the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards, and, through the intensive requirements, gain a greater understanding of risk management techniques, as well as insurance, tax, estate, investments, and retirement planning. These topics of study allow CFP® professionals to enhance their client relationships and add value toward helping clients achieve their financial objectives.
I have gained a more universal understanding of personal wealth management planning and the impact of my client’s choices on multiple aspects of their financial lives. This helps me guide my clients away from potential snares and costly mistakes. I coordinate with other professional advisors to find the most suitable solutions to my client’s financial challenges. Our practice works on a commission and/or fee basis with our customers.
