I have been in financial services for over 35 years, over 25 of which have been with RBC Wealth Management. I have had the privilege to serve as Branch Director for the San Jose branch as well as Complex Director for the San Francisco Complex. These experiences provided me with a unique understanding of the global reach of RBC as well as the resources that are available to help my clients with their investment and wealth management needs. These resources include a team of seasoned professionals that assist my clients with estate and retirement income planning, trust services and corporate services.
I earned the firm's designation of Accredited Wealth Manager (AWM) through an education program sponsored by RBC Wealth Management and Michigan state. This program was designed to provide Financial Advisors with cutting-edge strategies and training on the firm's wealth management process. Additionally, I have received the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation that demonstrates knowledge and competency in the area of fiduciary responsibility.
Prior to my career in financial services, I played professional football with the New Orleans Saints for two seasons. I graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Economics. In 2005, I was inducted into the Stanford Athletics Hall of Fame for my achievements as a football player. Consequently, I have a unique perspective of the needs and financial concerns facing professional athletes.
I live in Morgan Hill with my wife Sheri. We have two children Elizabeth and Chuck who are both pursuing thier own careers. Elizabeth as a photographer with her own business and Chuck as an engineer with Cisco. I spent 10 years managing my son's traveling baseball team-an endeavor that took us coast to coast and gave me a lifetime of great memories. I have also led two high school teams to league titles in football and baseball. Currently, some of my time is devoted to the Athletic Board at Stanford, an advisory group to the Athletic Director. From 1991-1994, I served as Board Chairman of the Buck/Cardinal Club and continue to be a board member in an ongoing effort to raise money for Stanford Athletics. Our two Bassett Hounds, Franklin and Emmett are our constant companions.
