John is a 22-year veteran of the financial services industry. At the early age of 15, he took his first steps on the trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. It was that moment when he realized he wanted to forge a career in the financial markets. After graduating college, he returned to Chicago to begin his professional career as a market maker in the S&P 500 Futures Pit. During his time at the CME Group, he worked closely with institutional brokers from Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Citi and JP Morgan, providing liquidity and transparency during various market cycles.
In 2010, he joined First Trust Portfolios, L.P. As First Trust’s VP of 401(k) Investments, he co-developed a turnkey 401(k) solution focused on providing transparent solutions for advisors and their business owner clients. He worked closely with financial advisors, home office retirement specialists and retirement plan service providers to overcome today’s retirement challenges.
In 2019, John joined RBC Wealth Management and partnered with Charles Nash to form the Nash-Daly Wealth Management Group. Alongside Chuck, he brings passions for helping people manage their wealth and obtain their financial goals. To John, wealth management isn’t a job or even a career—it’s more of a calling. Clients put their family’s financial future in the team's hands, and that’s a responsibility the team takes seriously.
John is a graduate of Purdue University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in financial counseling and planning. He received his Executive MBA in 2008 and acquired the Fi360 designation of Accredited Investment Fiduciary® in 2011.
