Kurt began his financial services career in 1989, building a foundation of experience that spans over three decades. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in 2021, he served as regional brokerage manager for Wells Fargo Advisors for more than 16 years, where he managed advisors and registered employees across the southern Twin Cities metro, southern Minnesota, northern Iowa and western Wisconsin. Over the course of his career, Kurt has held positions as an advisor, producing manager, regional brokerage manager, and he currently serves as managing director – branch network director for RBC Wealth Management, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the business from every perspective.
As branch network director, Kurt is responsible for helping advisors and their support staff across the Minnesota markets of Edina, North Oaks and Rochester. He thrives on helping advisors and their teams grow and protect their practice, supporting their clients and building on the distinctive culture that exists at RBC Wealth Management today. His hands-on experience in every role, from advisor to manager, allows him to understand the unique challenges and opportunities that financial professionals face, and he’s committed to providing the guidance and resources needed to help them succeed.
Giving back to the local communities is important to Kurt, as proven by his time coaching youth sports, volunteering at various community events and food banks and serving on the Bear Creek Services Foundation Board as past president. Originally from Wisconsin, Kurt migrated to Minnesota after college in 1989. He enjoys traveling down to Arizona to spend time with his two sons and taking in a few rounds of golf and mountain sunsets. Additionally, Kurt enjoys traveling, attending country music concerts, sports and a good workout.
