Mike has more than 25 years of industry experience. He joined RBC Wealth Management in 2001, teamed with Ross Strehlow in 2007, and was named branch director of the firm's North Oaks office in 2012 and the firm's Eau Claire office in 2013. He earned his BA from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He has his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst, and he is also an Accredited Wealth Manager. These designations demonstrate his advanced knowledge of wealth management issues. His areas of expertise include retirement income strategies, client portfolio management, risk management, and wealth transfer strategies. He is also a frequent presenter on Social Security and retirement income strategies.
Mike lives in Stillwater with his wife, Shannon, and they have three children. When not working, he is usually on a bike or skis, and he recently completed his first Ironman Triathlon. His volunteer activities include Habitat for Humanity, St. Michael's Church Mens' Club, and the SIFMA Foundation's InvestWrite program.
