Tobbie joined RBC Wealth Management in 2024 and is a managing director and branch network director. Tobbie leads and supports the financial advisors and their teams in the Oakbrook Terrace, North Shore and Lake Forest branches. Throughout her career, Tobbie has served in sales and leadership roles.
She began her career in wealth management in 2004 at Morgan Stanley in West Des Moines, Iowa, as a part of a team of financial advisors. In 2012, Tobbie relocated to the Chicagoland area to serve as the business development manager for the northern suburbs of Chicago. She was promoted to associate complex manager in 2014 and most recently served as the branch manager of Morgan Stanley’s Orland Park and Joliet offices. Tobbie served on the board for Morgan Stanley’s Chicago Women in Wealth organization and was the co-founder of Her Way Chicago, which consists of a group of female financial advisors whose mission is to create a dynamic community of financially educated and empowered women.
Before her career in wealth management, Tobbie worked in the office of Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack and Lt. Governor Sally Pederson as part of the Vilsack- Pederson administration. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Drake University.
Tobbie is an active volunteer for organizations dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence, hunger initiatives and inspiring and empowering young women. She serves on the board of directors for the Crisis Center for South Suburbia, an organization dedicated to providing emergency shelter and essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence.
Tobbie lives in Chicago with her significant other, Jed. They have one daughter, Michelle, who recently graduated from the University of Iowa and has begun her career as a wedding and event planner. As a family, they enjoy traveling, playing pickleball, boating and spending time with family and friends.
