RBC Blue Water Day
Since 2007, RBC has publicly celebrated its support for water on RBC Blue Water Day. Every year in June, RBC rallies employees worldwide around a single cause. We hold events, celebrate out network of grant recipients, share information about water, and engage in volunteer efforts to makeover fresh water resources around the globe.
To date, RBC has pledged nearly $41 million to more than 700 charitable organizations worldwide that protect watersheds and promote access to clean drinking water, with an additional $8.8 million pledged to universities for water programs.
On May 26th, the Davenport Office of RBC Wealth Management partnered with Living Lands and Waters to cleanup the Mississippi River for the second year in a row. The cleanup was a huge success - our 11 volunteers cleared up approximately 2,138 pounds of garbage from our cleanup site. This included 31 tires, 15 large bags of miscellaneous trash, four 55 gallon drums, a refrigerator door and a basketball hoop, We were also proud to present a Day of Service Grant in the amount of $1,000.00 to Living Lands & Waters.
We are grateful for the opportunity to volunteer with such a fantastic organization, and we look forward to continued volunteer efforts in the future.
