Historically, the term “Plan Sponsor” has been used to describe any company whom sponsored a retirement plan on behalf of its employee’s. Today, that title is also associated with the person making decisions for the plan. This may include choosing the plan vehicle, selecting a plan administrator, developing the investment strategy, and providing the overall monitoring of new or existing plans. My process provides guidance in planning for each of these areas. This approach will help you and your employer to maximize the efficiency of the plan, and understand some of the risks associated with making these decisions.
