John has been in the financial services industry since 1985. He began his career in New York with Teachers Insurance & Annuity Association (TIAA) as an analyst then moved to Boston with John Hancock. He moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1995 where he began working with individual clients on their wealth management planning and investment needs. John earned his BS degree at Bentley University in 1983 and his MBA at New Hampshire University. His dedication to learning and education has continued in his professional career. He has held numerous positions in the industry including financial advisor, assistant branch manager and branch manager. He holds the Series 3, 7, 9, 10, 63, 65, Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses.
Originally from Waterville, Maine, John now calls Sarasota his home. He is actively involved with the community and has served on numerous boards of local non-profit entities, including the YMCA and Junior Achievement. John founded the Sarasota Storm Triathlon Club in 2005 which helps organize triathlon events benefiting several local charitable organizations. John has been an avid triathlete and has competed in many marathons, ultra marathons and triathlons across the country, He is married to his wife Tillie and they have six children.
