I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received my MBA from East Carolina University. I began my career in financial services with Bank of America as a commercial relationship manager before transitioning into Private Wealth Management with SunTrust Bank in 2001. In 2011, I moved to Scott & Stringfellow and built my private practice focusing on my clients’ needs through financial planning, investment management and financial coaching. This educational approach to guiding my clients is built around sustainable and repeatable actions that help lead to better outcomes for my clients. In May 2020, I transitioned my practice to RBC Wealth Management to build on the goal of continuous improvement and enhancing my client experience.
My wife, Marcia, and I have four children: Olivia, Pennington, Ledger and Towns. I am an avid student of behavioral finance. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, some occasional golf and the beach. I also follow my favorite sports teams, including the Pirates, Tar Heels and Steelers.
