Susan launched her career as an attorney. After a few years, she left the practice of law to pursue a career in financial services. That career included stints at major banks and brokerages. With these experiences, Susan sought to provide clients with a broader service offering. This led to Susan founding her own firm in 1996. In this role, she served as a wealth advisor for affluent families, and as a large-cap equity manager for public and corporate pensions. Susan closed her firm in 2011 and rejoined a large brokerage house before coming to RBC Wealth Management in 2019.
Susan grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College, a Juris Doctorate from The Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University. She also holds the Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM®) designation, a collaboration of the Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers and Columbia University. While attending law school, Susan was the head women’s lacrosse and assistant women’s basketball coach at Dickinson College. A talented field hockey, basketball and lacrosse player, Susan is a member of her high school and college halls of fame and played on the U.S. Women’s Lacrosse Team. She relaxes by playing basketball, biking and tossing the Frisbee at her home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Susan’s greatest passions include her son, Ryan, her daughter and business partner, Taylor (Susan’s colleague at The Stewart Group), and supporting a number of charitable organizations.
