Bill has led the Stillwater branch as Branch Director since November 2014. His focus is simple: build a strong team, support advisors in growing their business, and help make sure clients receive an exceptional experience.
When the branch opened in October 2008, it started with three advisors and two client associates. Today, the office has grown to more than 25 advisors and 15 client associates. Bill is proud of that growth—not just because of the numbers, but because of the culture behind it. He believes a successful branch is built on collaboration, accountability, and people genuinely wanting to help each other succeed. He views recruiting as an opportunity to bring in professionals who share the same values: integrity, hard work, and a commitment to helping others.
His leadership style is hands-on and approachable. Bill describes it as a "player-coach" mindset—staying involved, engaged, and accessible while giving advisors the space and support they need to run and grow their practices. His day-to-day focus remains both advisor and client-centric, ensuring the team has the resources, and guidance needed to deliver at a high level.
Bill is part of RBC's Vantage Leadership Program and serves on the firm's Branch Director Advisory Council, where he collaborates with peers across the country on initiatives that support branch performance and advisor success.
In addition to leading the branch, Bill takes pride in supporting local community efforts and representing RBC in Stillwater. Giving back and staying involved locally is an important part of who he is, both professionally and personally.
Bill joined RBC Wealth Management in 2000 and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation. He earned his degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, where he served as captain of the Gopher hockey team and was a member of the WCHA All-Academic Team.
He and his wife, Lindsay, have twin sons, Jonas and Nolan, and enjoy spending time at their family cabin and cheering their boys with their athletic and creative pursuits.
