After graduating in industrial construction management from Colorado State University on a full-ride football scholarship, Patrick was a project manager for a large construction firm and vice president of a Seattle-based engineering firm before becoming a financial advisor in 1990. He holds the Series 7, 9, 10, 31, 63, 65 and 66 securities licenses as well as insurance licenses and the Accredited Wealth Manager designation from the firm. Patrick is the branch director of our Edmonds office, having previously served as branch director in Everett and Bellingham.

Patrick and his wife, Robyn, live in Arlington, Washington, where they raised their three children in a custom-built log home on five acres along the Stillaguamish River. Robyn received her degree in music education from Colorado State University where she and Patrick met. She is a teacher and enjoyed many years playing cello professionally, two of which were with the Bellevue Symphony. Their family enjoys crabbing, fishing and boating in Canada and the San Juan Islands throughout the summer. Patrick enjoys writing music in his home music recording studio and Robyn is a Consulting Rosarian and loves spending time in her greenhouse. Last September, he and Robyn became first-time grandparents to baby Aspen, the daughter of their eldest son.

Paul Swesey

Associate Vice President - Financial Advisor


Paul graduated from Whittier College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration with an emphasis in international business. While at Whittier, he was a member of the Alpha Phi Business Leadership Group and the Students in Free Enterprise organization. Paul was selected by Whittier College as a delegate for Model UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency. He also played on the Whittier College basketball team as a starting forward.

From 2011-2014, Paul worked for ACN Inc., an international seller of telecommunications, energy and banking services. He was a Presidents Club Member, regional director and keynote speaker for conferences and regional training events. In 2014, Paul enrolled in graduate school at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in their Workplace Theology, Ethics, and Leadership Master’s program and was also hired by RBC Wealth Management. He is currently a financial advisor holding the Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, insurance licenses and is the second partner of the Swesey & Swesey Wealth Management Group. In January 2017, Paul received a formal invitation to the Inauguration of the 45th President of the United States in Washington D.C. and attended the Official Presidential Inaugural Ball. Paul has also spent time traveling internationally. Two notable trips include, participating in medical clinics and a clean water project in Manila and throughout several of the Philippine Islands, shortly after Super Typhoon Yolanda devastated South East Asia in 2013. He also brought donated books and laptop computers to a rehabilitation home for underage street children in Rwanda, Africa, in summer 2017.

Cynthia Christensen

Cynthia is our branch service manager, senior registered client associate and executive assistant for our team. She has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, 10 of which has been working for Patrick. Cynthia’s background ranges from securities and commodities trading desk supervisor, assistant vice president of operations, marketing, executive assistant and she also has both her Series 7 and 63 licenses. Cynthia and her husband, Dale, have lived in Marysville for the last 26 years, where they raised their two children. She and Dale enjoy traveling to Honolulu where their daughter lives as well as enjoying spending time with their son, his fiancé and family. Cynthia enjoys scrapbooking, baking, hiking and anything that involves being outside in the sunshine with her family.
