Kelvin began his career in the financial services industry as a receptionist at D.A. Davidson in 2019, where he was promoted to head cashier before advancing to registered client associate. At D.A. Davidson, he took the initiative to optimize client account management, enabling financial advisors to focus on high-value relationships. He joined RBC Wealth Management as a registered client associate in July 2022 and subsequently pursued advanced education by completing a master’s degree in international business from Cologne International Business School in Germany. During his studies, he worked as a practice area marketing work student at Boston Consulting Group for 14 months, where he developed experience in CRM database analytics, client segmentation strategies and data-driven marketing coordination across global markets. As part of his master’s program, he served as project leader for an EY Parthenon consulting project, guiding a team of four students from diverse cultural backgrounds to develop strategic solutions for the automotive industry. Kelvin returned to the United States and rejoined RBC Wealth Management in January 2026.

Kelvin was drawn to the financial services industry by his long-standing interest in the stock market and how market dynamics respond to global events. He is motivated by the opportunity to help clients achieve their wealth planning goals by applying data-driven insights and innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in history from the University of Washington, where he also studied abroad in Spain. During his master’s program in Cologne, Kelvin achieved B2-level German proficiency and focused on innovation management, digital transformation and international project management. Kelvin passed the Series 7, 63 and SIE exams.

Outside of work, Kelvin enjoys competitive running, Latin dancing and spending time with his siblings. He maintains awareness of global financial markets and current events through daily news reading, and in his creative time, he writes personal fiction. He loves traveling to explore new cuisines and dedicates his free time to studying Spanish and German languages.

As an RBC Echelon wealth strategist, Cyndy works with financial advisors and their ultra-high-net-worth clients to understand what is most important to them and to help develop appropriate strategies that address the client’s objectives and concerns. Liz serves as a knowledgeable resource in the area of complex wealth, including planning strategies for corporate executives, trust and estate planning services, concentrated stock options, business succession planning and philanthropic planning. She also coordinates solutions and external professional services tailored to RBC Echelon clients' needs.

Matt Loftin

Wealth Strategist

Matt serves as a resource for your financial advisor in determining and developing wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth clients in areas including estate strategies, lifetime giving, personal trust planning, charitable giving, concentrated equity position diversification and employee stock options. In this role, Matt partners with financial advisors to meet with individual clients and their attorneys and/or accountants, as well as to present at client seminars.

Janet Engels

Senior Vice President, Director of Portfolio Advisory Group

A 32-year veteran of the securities industry, Janet Engels became Director of RBC Wealth Management’s Portfolio Advisory Group in 2002 following the acquisition of Tucker Anthony Inc. She is Co-Chair of the Global Portfolio Advisory Committee (GPAC) and a member of the firm’s Directors Group. She is also a member of the Financial Women’s Association of New York and a frequent speaker at client seminars throughout the country. She has appeared on CNBC, Fox Business and has been quoted in several leading industry publications. Janet was also the recipient of RBC Wealth Management’s “Irv Weiser Diversity Award” in recognition of her commitment to supporting the education of women and increasing awareness about persons with disabilities. Janet received a B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania.
