Growing up in a maritime family created a durable work ethic and the strength to see my way through adversity.
I spent four years with the Merchant Marines including one year abroad and achieved my Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. I served in the U.S. Navy and later captained a yacht in Manhattan harbor, taking my responsibilities for safety and leadership seriously. Transitioning to financial services has leveraged my most important skills learned on the water.
I’ve been an executive in financial services for almost 30 years, serving individuals, families and business owners needing financial guidance and advice.
Focus and experience
I love what I do because I get to help people. I also know what it’s like to live life high and low financially and I don’t want others to feel financially insecure. I’ll help you design and secure your financial future so you can live the life you’ve dreamed of.
Away from the office
My wife of 33 years, Susan, and I enjoy food, the Chesapeake Bay, and spending time with our sons and their families. I volunteer by running the quarterly Red Cross Blood Drive at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and working at Feed More. We live here in Richmond.
