Brian joined RBC Wealth Management in 2023. Prior to that, he was a managing director and wealth manager with First Republic Investment Management and a senior vice president at Merrill Lynch, which he joined in 2006 from Wells Fargo Securities. He started his career in the financial services industry in 1997. Brian dedicates his practice to helping his high-net-worth clientele reach their financial objectives through wealth planning and goals-based investing. As a senior portfolio manager, Brian has a unique opportunity to realize the benefits that discretionary portfolio management can bring, including greater efficiency in managing and trading accounts and the opportunity to leverage the world-class research resources of RBC Wealth Management.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Woodbury University and completed the Wealth Management in Practice: high-net-worth investing program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. At The Wharton School, Brian also completed the Investments and Wealth Institute Certified Investment Management Analyst Program. He also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.
Outside of the office, Brian serves on the board of directors at Stapleton School of the Performing Arts and is also a member of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council. He lives in San Anselmo, California, with his three kids, Grace, Ellie and Johnny, and two dogs, Buster and Dudley.
