Gary has provided wealth management planning and advice for families, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses for the past 26 years. He started his career in the financial industry in 1993 with Merrill Lynch, as a customer service representative, working his way up to first operating manager in their asset relocation district. During Gary’s tenure on Wall Street, he worked with major financial firms to create and implement an automated system to transfer assets between the firms. Today, this is still the only automated system utilized to transfer assets between financial organizations and has reduced transfer time frames for clients from around 31 days to seven days or less.
In 2006, Gary wanted to expand his horizons and work directly with the clients, so he pursued a career as a financial wealth management advisor. Since then, Gary and his team have helped small business owners, private clients, and 401(k) participants plan for their retirement through tax-advantaged, investment, and distribution strategies.
Gary received his degree in mathematics from the University of Colorado in Boulder. In addition to holding his required securities and insurance licenses, Gary holds the Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor®, the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and Certified Health Savings Advisor® designations.
Gary enjoys spending time with his family, rooting for his Buffalos, the Colorado Avalanche as well as playing golf. Gary is an active member of several public affair committees, including the transportation committee, the public affairs committee, and the water task force committee for the state of Colorado. Gary is an active volunteer, and donates his time to a number of organizations, including: Rock Canyon High School Feeder Teams, Special Olympics, Food Bank of the Rockies, A Precious Child, and the Children’s Hospital.
