Kirk began working in the financial services industry more than 24 years ago, originally as a credit analyst for a major national bank. Ultimately, Kirk was named Vice President of Lending, generating and servicing commercial loans primarily in the agricultural industry. In 2000, he stepped away from traditional banking to join Smith Barney as a financial consultant. In 2009, Kirk and his wife, Laura, moved their financial advisory practice to RBC Wealth Management, forming a team to better serve their clients. Due to the increasing complexities and specific needs of the team’s clients, the Highs sought to incorporate additional professional talent into the team. In 2015, the group merged with Daniel Dioguardi, a long-time friend and valued partner for many years. Kirk also serves as the Branch Director for the entire RBC Wealth Management office. He supports the efforts of 9 professional advisor teams and manages all financial aspects of branch.

In 2007, Kirk was recognized as a "40 Under 40" award winner along with the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership award. He is also a member of the RBC Wealth Management Chairman's Council, recognizing the top 150 Financial Advisors in the firm. Outside of the office, Kirk spends much of his time with his family. He enjoys golf, biking, basketball, hunting and traveling.

Kirk’s background in credit and banking has given him the expertise to effectively evaluate companies and managers, while also thoroughly understanding and advising our clients on both sides of their balance sheets. He oversees the intricate management of clients' investment portfolios and adeptly addresses all varieties of financial issues that impact our clients on a daily basis. 

Kirk holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Texas Tech University, where he graduated cum laude. He holds the Series 3, 7, 9, 10, 63 and 66 securities licenses, as well as the Group I Life and Health insurance licenses.


Laura High, CFP®

Vice President - Financial Advisor

Laura began her career in the financial services industry 22 years ago as a trust officer at a major national bank. Ultimately, she was a lead client advisor and Vice President, Trust Officer and Investment Specialist for the “Private Client Group.” In 2002, Laura joined Smith Barney as a financial consultant, partnering with Kirk. 

In 2002, Laura was recognized as a "Great Woman of Texas" and in 2007, along with Kirk, she was honored as one of Tarrant County's outstanding members of the community under the age of 40. Laura is dedicated to her community and recently served as president of the Fort Worth Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Club, serves as a Senior Advisor to the Board at River Crest Country Club and Vice President of Design Inspirations. Laura and her family are active members of Christ Chapel Bible Church. 

Laura enjoys spending her time outside of the office at the family's ranch riding horses. She also enjoys biking, running, yoga, fishing, writing and traveling. She and Kirk have been married for 19 years. They have three beautiful daughters, twins, Katie Anne and Reagan and Olivia Jane.

During her tenure at the bank, Laura gained experience in business development, portfolio and investment management, client advisory services including trust and estate planning, business succession planning, and tax planning. Her experience in private client services has shaped the team’s unique client service model, which offers a 360 degree approach to managing clients’ finances in a way designed to best help them attain their individual goals. Obtaining her Certified Financial PlannerTM certificate has equipped Laura to offer comprehensive quantitative financial planning resources to the team’s clients. The multi-year CFP® program entails in-depth courses, training, and comprehensive examinations in all areas of financial planning including investments, taxes, insurance, estate, and retirement planning. 


Laura received her Bachelor of Science degree in economics and political science from Vanderbilt University. She holds her Series 7, 63, 66 and 33 securities licenses, as well as the Group I Life and Health insurance licenses. In 2007, Laura earned the Certified Financial Planner™ certificate. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association as well as RBC’s Women’s Association of Financial Advisors. 

Daniel Dioguardi

First Vice President - Financial Advisor, Consulting Group


Daniel has had a life-long interest in investments and the financial markets beginning with his first stock purchase at age nine. He began his financial services career working as a Certified Public Accountant at an international, and later a regional, accounting firm, where his areas of specialty were taxation and investment reporting. This background has given Daniel a solid framework for helping clients structure their investments in a way mindful of the complexities of the tax code.

In 1996, Daniel decided to leave public accounting and joined Smith Barney as a financial consultant. After a 13-year tenure at Smith Barney, he joined RBC Wealth Management in 2009, where he later helped establish The High Dioguardi Group. Daniel is responsible for helping to construct and implement sound investment plans for clients, as well as providing fixed income and syndicate expertise for the group.

When away from work, Daniel enjoys his family, as well as woodworking, beekeeping, biking and gardening with his wife Anna. He has two adult children and two grandchildren.

Daniel’s educational and work background has given him a solid background in matters of taxation and finance. He helps construct, implement and monitor client portfolios. Due to the breadth of his experience in matters of personal finance, Daniel is uniquely able to educate and counsel clients through a myriad of financial situations.

Daniel received his Masters of Taxation from Baylor University and his Bachelors of Science in accounting at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a former CPA, and holds the Series 3, 7, 31, 63 and 66 licenses as well as the Group I Life and Health Insurance licenses.

Alisa Miller Davis

Investment Associate


Alisa began her career in this industry as a business development officer for financial services at a local bank. She later joined a large annuity/investment group as a licensed financial advisor before moving into wealth management in the private client group of a global financial institution. Eight years after starting this second career, Alisa found her home as a member of The High Dioguardi Group.  

Prior to her career in financial services, Alisa was part of two prominent non-profit groups in Fort Worth where she worked with some of the areas wealthiest families to bring exceptional performing arts to the area, as well as to provide and sustain services designed to help children, youth, and families in our community succeed.   

Beyond the work day, Alisa spends time with family and appreciates the outdoors, exercise, literature, and the arts.

Alisa holds Series 7, 63, and 66 securities licenses with experience in local bank operations, national industry processes, and the brokerage business. This work at three very different tiers of the financial services arena, allows her to bring broad and varied experience to the team: from local banking needs to complex generational wealth services. 

Alisa earned a Master's degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University following a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has taught high school English, and has coached softball at both the NCAA DI and NJCAA DI levels. Alisa’s expertise in leadership, teaching, and organizational skills adds a proficiency of education methods, communication, planning, and group dynamics to The High Dioguardi Group and their clients. In addition to working directly with clients, Alisa uses her robust experiences and development skills as the team lead in business operations and processes.
