In 2005, Phil graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul with degrees in Finance and Philosophy. He then joined JP Morgan Chase in Chicago as a banker while his wife Sara studied at John Marshall Law School. After several years as one of the top bankers in the Chicago Market, Phil and Sara moved to Minneapolis and Phil fulfilled a lifelong dream by joining The Mehrer/Stromberg Group. At JP Morgan, he focused on investment planning and strategy for high-net-worth families and small businesses. He has honed that expertise over the past 15 years at RBC, focusing on the major financial transitions clients go through including the sale of a business, a family inheritance or a long awaited retirement. Navigating complex cash flow needs and crafting legacy wealth transfer strategies are specific areas of interest.
Phil and Sara live in Plymouth with their two boys, Warren and Walker. They enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking together as a family, and serving in their church. Phil mentors business students at Bethel University and actively supports numerous charities including the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota, Hospitality House, Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge and New Life Family Services.
