After spending 25 years at Merrill Lynch, Mike and his team made the decision to join RBC Wealth Management in April of 2021. They chose RBC after almost two years of due diligence because they felt the RBC’s client first culture was a perfect fit for their practice. Mike believes that a goals-based approach to wealth management is the only way to achieve outcomes that are meaningful to each client. Mike has seen firsthand throughout his career what can happen to people who don’t properly plan for their future which is why he is so passionate about what he does.
Mike is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® professional. The designation is administered by Investments and Wealth InstituteTM and taught in conjunction with Emory University. This is an advanced professional certification for financial advisors who serve high-net-worth clients. It’s designed for seasoned professionals who seek the latest, most advanced knowledge and techniques to address the sophisticated needs of clients with a minimum net worth of $5 million. Unlike credentials that focus specifically on investing or financial planning, the CPWA® program takes a holistic and multidisciplinary approach. Mike also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation.
Mike graduated from The University of Dayton with a degree in economics and finance. Mike was a Division I catcher on the Dayton baseball team as well. In his earlier years, he attended Chaminade High School. In addition, Mike was awarded the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisors award for New York in 2019.
Originally from Port Washington, New York, Mike now lives in Woodbury, New York with his wife, Tracy, and their two sons, Connor and Daniel. In his spare time and with many years of coaching, Mike enjoys supporting his two sons in their many different sports. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing in competitive golf tournaments, as well as playing in a men’s adult baseball league. He and his family have been personally affected by autism and he is an autism advocate in his community.
