About our team

Our group’s roots go back to 1959, when David S. Tucker, Jr. joined his father David S. Tucker, Sr. in business. In 1991, David S. Tucker, III joined his father and grandfather to carry on the family tradition in the securities industry. The Tucker Group formally formed in 1974 when David S. Tucker, Jr. started the group with his father David S. Tucker, Sr. at Sutro & Co., now RBC Wealth Management. In 2024 The Tucker Group combined with The Crane Group to form The Tucker Crane Group. The team is comprised of David S. Tucker, III, Michael A. Isola, Nanette M. Flanagan and Stephen A. Butterfield in the Walnut Creek office along with Nicholas E. Crane, Carla J. Vocatura and Christine Boyd in the El Dorado Hills office.

The David S. Tuckers' history

The David S. Tucker’s have had a long history in the financial securities industry. Can you imagine doing anything for 73 years? David S. Tucker Sr. did until the age of 92. He retired in December 2002 after a successful and colorful 73-year career in the financial service industry. From Black Tuesday in 1929 to the tech-fueled meteoric market rise of the 1990’s — David S. Tucker Sr. saw it all until his passing in 2005, 55 days short of his 100th birthday. His son, David S. Tucker, Jr. joined him in business in 1959 when David S. Tucker, Sr. was in his mid 50’s. David S. Tucker, Jr. planned to take over for his father at retirement — and 43 years later, he did.  David S. Tucker, III joined his father and grandfather in 1991 to carry on the family tradition and take over for his father at retirement. David Tucker Jr. retired on February 15, 2014.
