Qualifications

Tom became a licensed financial advisor in 1984. His practice focuses on the complex issues faced by investors in regards to multigenerational wealth planning, tax-considerate income management, and customized portfolio design. In recent years, his practice has focused on helping business owners develop, implement, and manage their strategic exit plan from a business activity.

The Advanced Wealth Manager (AWM) Program is a professional designation specifically designed by RBC Wealth Management. This exclusive program is built on the fundamentals of wealth management — our methodology for helping you accumulate, protect, enjoy and transfer your wealth — with a focus on the sophisticated knowledge and skills necessary to gain a deeper understanding of your individual financial objectives. Tom has passed the Series 7, 63, 65 securities licenses and holds his life, health, disability and long-term care insurance licenses.

The Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) program was specifically designed for business advisors who work closely with owners of privately held companies. The organizing principle of the program is Master Planning, handling the alignment of the three legs of the stool (business, personal and financial), which is executed through a process called the Value Acceleration Methodology. Using an executive MBA-style format, the program includes a combination of lectures, group discussions, case studies and individual exercises to introduce participants to these concepts and to reinforce skills.

Personal

RBC Wealth Management is committed to enriching the communities where our employees and clients work and reside. Tom shares that same commitment and has dedicated significant time to various civic, fraternal and charitable organizations. He has served on many boards and chaired numerous executive committees. In recent years, Tom’s board duties have included The Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute, The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, The Malvern Retreat House, and the Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School Ice Hockey Board. He is active with the Greater Atlantic Chamber of Commerce and its various committees. Tom and his wife reside in Absecon, NJ and he is a graduate of The Ohio State University.
