John is a 30 plus year veteran of the financial services industry. He began his career at Westonka Investments in 1985. In 1989, John joined Piper Jaffray where he was a member of the President’s Council. John joined RBC Wealth Management in 2006, achieving membership in the Director’s Council. John’s focus on the team is to monitor and analyze economic data, create and modify portfolio strategies, and develop retirement income plans. John holds Series 7, 63, 65 and insurance licenses. J
ohn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business finance from Iowa State University in 1985. He earned academic All-Big 8 honors and All-American honors in wrestling while attending Iowa State.
John and his wife, Brenda, have four children and three grandchildren. All four children were active in athletics in both high school and college, which John and Brenda supported by volunteering whenever they were needed. In his free time, John enjoys travelling with his wife along with hunting and fishing.
