With almost 40 years of expertise in financial services, Joe brings deep industry knowledge and proven leadership to the Thorn Gribben Wealth Management Group. He began his financial services career 1987 and has spent the last 30 years at RBC Wealth Management. As co-senior partner, Joe is instrumental in day-to-day practice management and investment strategy development, with a primary focus on delivering personalized investment planning through our comprehensive wealth management approach. He has held his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) designation since 2004. He has passed the Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 exams as well as an insurance license.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Northern Iowa in 1987. Early in his career, he demonstrated exceptional leadership as coach of the University of St. Thomas wrestling team from 1987 to 1993, earning recognition as NCAA Wrestling Coach of the Year in 1991.
Outside of work, Joe is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys biking, fishing, hiking, and nordic skiing. He and his wife Michelle enjoy volunteering in their community and they can often be found at the Chaska Curling Center, where they enjoy time with friends and fellow curling enthusiasts.
