Tom is a senior vice president and financial advisor with RBC Wealth Management for the Collins Wealth Management Group. He serves the investment needs of high-net-worth individuals, delivering customized guidance that helps enhance and protect assets for families and future generations.
Tom takes a collaborative approach that focuses on the totality of each situation. He is especially proficient at addressing the financial complexities that often accompany major life events. Known for his approachable manner, Tom devotes time to understand individualized objectives and simplify the language of investing. His mission is to help clients feel they are supported in every aspect of their wealth management scenario.
Being part of a multi-generational family practice, Tom was exposed to fiscal concepts at a young age and believes strongly in educating the younger generation about money and the principles of investing. He also emphasizes the importance of instilling in children the value of charitable giving.
Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in 2018, Tom was at JPMorgan, UBS (via Piper Jaffray), Hambrecht & Quist (JPMorgan) and Kidder Peabody where he developed strong asset management capabilities. Prior to earning his MBA from the Claremont Colleges graduate school and after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Tom sold Eurobonds in London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo. Tom has passed the Series 6, 7, 31, 63 and 65 exams.
Tom was born and raised in Pasadena, California, and currently lives in Lafayette, California, with his wife and their children, Emily and TJ. In his free time, he and his family are greatly involved in their community.
