Qualifications

I joined RBC Wealth Management in November, 2010 and have more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. I earned a bachelor of science in marketing from St. Cloud State University, have passed the Series 6, 7, 63 and 66 securities exams, and hold Minnesota life and health insurance licenses.  I am a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor and I also hold a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University.

Personal

I am proud to be born and raised in Austin, MN. My parents are Richard and Kaaren Wuertz. I have two brothers, Scott and Michael, the latter having had the opportunity to pitch for several years in the Major Leagues with the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics.  I graduated from Austin High School in 1986 and married my wife, Shellie, in 1990.  We have three daughters - Megan, Madison and Maya - and four grandchildren.  Away from the office, I am past president and current member of the Austin Lions Club, and serve on the Board of Directors for the Austin Area Foundation. I am also an active member of Faith Church in Austin, where I have participated in various roles on the church board, and sing on the worship team.  Additionally, I enjoy cheering on the local high school sports teams as well as the the Gophers, Timberwolves, Twins and Vikings.  Additionally, I am passionate about music and golf.
