Mike brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to the True North Investment Group. He joined RBC Wealth Management in 2001, and formed the Strehlow Enright Group with Ross Strehlow in 2007, which transformed into the True North Investment Group when Ross retired in 2018. Ross, Nico and Mike developed and refined the contrarian investment process that they use today. Within the True North team, Mike is the big-picture planner and risk manager. He is the person you call if you’re looking to retire and need to convert your wealth to income. Mike is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), and a Retirement Management Analyst (RMA). These certifications and designations demonstrate his advanced knowledge of wealth management and retirement income issues. His areas of expertise include retirement income strategies, strategic portfolio management, risk management, and wealth transfer strategies. Mike is also a frequent speaker on Social Security claiming strategies.

A native Minnesotan, Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He lives in Stillwater with his wife, Shannon, and they have three children. When not working, Mike is usually on a bike or skis, and has completed numerous triathlons, including an Ironman triathlon. His volunteer activities include Habitat for Humanity, Second Harvest, and the SIFMA Foundation’s InvestWrite program. Mike is honored to be part of RBC Wealth Management’s Branch Vantage leadership program, Affinity Group team coaching program, and Branch Director Advisory Council, and to have been named to RBC Wealth Management’s Director’s, President’s, and Chairman’s Councils.

Nico joined the Strehlow Enright Group, our team name prior to Ross Strehlow’s retirement, in 2017 after managing a solo practice in RBC Wealth Management’s St. Paul office. With Ross and Mike, he helped refine and implement our contrarian investment process. Nico is a student of the equity markets, and within the True North Investment Group, he manages investment portfolios, researching and discovering undervalued investment ideas for our clients. In anticipation of our industry’s increased focus on a fiduciary standard, Nico acquired the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation in 2018. This ensures your portfolio is managed with a sound investment process with rigorous research and documentation. He has passed the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 securities exams and holds the Minnesota life, accident and health insurance license.

Nico graduated from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He played Division 1 hockey for the Gophers, and was a four-time selection for the Academic All-Big Ten. Before joining RBC Wealth Management, he played hockey professionally in Europe for four seasons in Norway, Russia, the U.K. and the Netherlands. A Minnesota native, Nico grew up on the Iron Range in northern Minnesota and currently resides in Maple Grove with his wife, Casey, and Golden Retriever. He’s an avid outdoorsman and spends free time hunting, fishing and golfing. Nico is also a volunteer coach at his hometown summer hockey camp and fosters rescue dogs through Minnesota’s Secondhand Hounds program.

Danny joined the True North Investment Group in 2019, after working for three years at an investment firm in Chicago. He brings knowledge in structured products, mutual funds, ETFs, and fixed income to the team. His role is to provide unique solutions for clients’ investment needs, whether the goal is growth, income, protection, or any combination. Danny has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities exams, and holds his Minnesota life and health insurance license. He plans to sit for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) exam in the coming year.

Danny earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the Heider College of Business at Creighton University, where he was among a handful of students selected to manage a portion of the university’s endowment fund. Danny grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota, and currently lives in Northeast Minneapolis. He enjoys soccer (as a player and a fan), skiing and snowboarding, golf, tennis and running. Danny looks forward to getting more involved in his community as he continues to explore.

Kristi has been in the financial services industry for more than 25 years, supporting Ross Strehlow from 1993 until his retirement, Mike Enright since 2007, and Nico Sacchetti since 2017. Within the True North Investment Group, she is responsible for team operations, Kristi is meticulous in detail and thrives on providing excellent customer service, always putting the client first. Kristi recently won the Central Division Top Performer award. Kristi has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 63 exams and can place orders for clients.

She graduated from Moorhead State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Kristi and her husband live in Ramsey, and she enjoys playing golf and spending time at her lake place.

Renee has worked in the financial services industry for more than 20 years, and joined RBC Wealth Management in 2014. Within the True North Investment Group, she provides operational support to the team, and strives to provide outstanding and timely service to our clients. Renee has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams, holds insurance licenses and can place orders for clients.

A Minnesota native, Renee lives in Champlin with her husband. She enjoys staying active and spending time with family and friends.
