Tyler’s path into financial services was built on genuine, ground-level experience—the kind that only comes from owning something, growing it and having the courage to let it go.
After building, operating and successfully exiting his own business, Tyler found himself drawn to the world of finance in a way that felt both natural and necessary. The experience of navigating the financial complexities of running and ultimately exiting a business gave him a perspective that no classroom could fully replicate. What began as a personal curiosity became a real calling to help clients take control of their financial futures with the confidence and clarity that comes from working alongside someone who understands—firsthand—what’s at stake. In 2006, Tyler transitioned into financial services, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Throughout his career, Tyler has built a broad and distinguished foundation across the financial services industry. He began his journey at Security National Lending, Inc. and Veritas Lending, where he developed a deep understanding of mortgage and lending solutions. This early experience shaped his client-first mindset. He then expanded his knowledge at Merrill Lynch, gaining invaluable experience across wealth management, investment strategy and comprehensive financial planning. Today, Tyler brings his depth of knowledge to his clients at RBC Wealth Management—one of North America’s most trusted financial institutions—where he continues to focus on helping each client live the life they’ve worked so hard to build.
Tyler’s academic foundation comes from the University of Phoenix, and he holds an impressive range of credentials that reflect a career-long commitment to comprehensive, client-centered guidance. He passed the Series 7 and 66 exams and holds life and health insurance licenses. Tyler is also a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, CEPA®—a specialized designation that demonstrates his genuine passion for helping business owners navigate one of the most significant financial transitions of their lives.
Away from the office, Tyler is most at home surrounded by the people he loves most. He and his wife are proud parents of four grown children and three grandchildren. With a corgi rounding out their family, there is never a shortage of energy or laughter. When he isn’t working with clients, Tyler can often be found out on the water, on the golf course or discovering new corners of the world with his family. For Tyler, spending real, meaningful time with the people who matter most is essential—a perspective that permeates everything he does and every plan he builds.
