Qualifications
Thomas is responsible for the integration and delivery of client investment and wealth planning for a select group of affluent clients and their families. He also has the responsibility of managing the Tyler RBC Wealth Management branch. He has experience in the retirement planning arena and built his practice through networking with CPA firms. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Thomas founded Bridge Wealth Management in Tyler and managed the firm from 2000 – 2012. Before Bridge Wealth, he was a public accountant at Arthur Andersen’s Dallas office and one of the first jointly credentialed CPA/CFP® practitioners in the industry.
Thomas graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification, and holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designations. Thomas is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, The Texas Society of CPAs and the East Texas Estate Planning Council.
Personal
Thomas serves on the board of directors of the East Texas Communities Foundation and the Hospice of East Texas Foundation. He is also active in his church, in youth ministry, spending time with his wife and sons at athletic events and traveling. He is passionate about outdoor pursuits, including hiking, backpacking, canyoneering, golf, and fly fishing. Thomas, his wife, Pam, and their four sons, Logan, Dylan, Caden and Ethan, reside in Tyler, Texas
