Sam started his career in the financial services industry in 1986 after a career in pharmaceutical sales. He made the choice to switch because he wanted to connect with clients, help them live comfortably in retirement and provide a good foundation for their beneficiaries.
Prior to RBC Wealth Management, which he joined in 2020, Sam was at UBS Financial Services, Smith Barney and McDonald & Co. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin Wallace University where he played football. He passed the Series 7 and 66 securities exams and holds life insurance and annuity licenses.
Outside of the office, Sam serves on the board of directors for the Alzheimer’s Association of Cleveland and is co-chair of A Celebration of Hope since 2018. This is an annual fundraiser supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. Sam grew up in Ashtabula, Ohio, with six brothers and sisters. He is married to his wife, Tracy, and they have three adult children, Sam, Jack and Grace. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling and sightseeing. Sam also enjoys a game of golf.
