Andy began his investment career at Merrill Lynch in Colorado in 2000. His focus includes fundamental investment selection and planning, leading him to complete his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2006. CFP® professionals are dedicated to the highest level of service and ethical standards, and, through the intensive program requirements, gain a greater understanding of risk management techniques, as well as insurance, taxes, estate and retirement planning and investments. These topics of study allow CFP® professionals to enhance their client relationships and add value toward helping clients achieve their financial objectives. In 2022 Andy was selected to the RBC Wealth Management Senior Portfolio Manager – Portfolio Focus Group, a company designation reserved for financial advisors who have achieved a high level of success in building discretionary portfolio management businesses. The Senior Portfolio Manager Group is the most highly regarded level of portfolio manager recognition at RBC Wealth Management.
To qualify for this group, Andy has demonstrated a commitment to designing and managing investment portfolios to help meet the individual needs of clients.
Previously, Andy worked at Wachovia Securities, now Wells Fargo Advisors, where he worked with individuals, families and businesses to accomplish their financial goals. Throughout his career, he has advised, consulted, and established new retirement plans for companies and small businesses in a variety of industries. Andy joined RBC Wealth Management in 2012. Here, he is the head of wealth planning for the team, is an investment committee member and helps clients with insurance strategies, long-term care plans, as well as 401(k) and retirement plans.
Andy and his wife, Keli, live in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood with their daughter, Emma, and their son, Aidan. He was a volunteer for the Board of Redline, an urban laboratory where arts, education and community converge. Additionally, Andy had the privilege and honor of coaching his alma mater’s high school baseball team at Kent Denver School.
