On August 9, 2016, the York branch of RBC Wealth Management sponsored and participated in the Patriot Par 3 Challenge Golf Tournament. The tournament is a 36-hole, par 3 golf challenge that benefits Pennsylvania veterans. The Patriot Par 3 directly supports The Keystone Warriors, a 501(c)(3) from eastern Pennsylvania. The Keystone Warriors main mission is to honor, empower, aid and assist wounded or injured members of the U.S. military, whose wounds or injuries occurred post 9/11/2001. They are starting their seventh year of operations in giving assistance to local heroes. The York office of RBC Wealth Management is happy to announce that $40,000 was raised for the Keystone Warriors during the 2016 Patriot Par 3 Challenge. That number has grown every year since the inception of the idea, and RBC Wealth Management is proud to continue to give support to a great cause, and even better people.

“RBC Wealth Management believes that the strength of our business is directly tied to the well-being of the communities where we do business. On September 24th, RBC Wealth Management sponsored, participated and volunteered at the Bike MS: City to Shore Ride 2016. Bike MS raises more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers and donors have raised over $1 billion to end MS forever.

Team RBC raised over $13,000 for the 2016 ride. Team RBC had riders starting as far as 100 miles out, riding the whole course; with other riders starting at staggered starting lines at 45 miles and 25 miles. Numerous volunteers stationed at rest stops along the way and at the finishing line in Ocean City helped the riders along the way and made sure all the riders received their RBC giveaways.

Philadelphia Complex Director Scott Ceniccola led Team RBC as a rider, paving the way for the other riders and volunteers; about 40 participants. Dee Davis, Tonya Ewing and Lou Varanese made the event possible, coordinating everything from the rider information to the giveaways and rest stop expos. This would not have been possible without the hard work of the leaders of Team RBC. We look forward to supporting Bike MS in the future and hope to accomplish even more in the next ride.
