An experienced investor, Philip’s process reflects his extensive knowledge of equities and fixed income and his proficiency with alternative assets. He customizes strategies designed to suit the needs, risk profile and personality of his high-networth clients, whose primary focus at this stage in their lives is to grow and preserve their wealth. Philip displayed an early interest in the financial markets, and chose it as a career path because of the opportunity it held to guide and support people as they pursue their financial goals. His more than 30 years of experience is founded on his conservative, value-oriented approach to constructing and actively managing tailored portfolios that seek to optimize performance while minimizing volatility. Philip augments his experience by leveraging RBC Wealth Management’s industry leading brand, intellectual capital and resources.
Philip began his investment management career at Kidder-Peabody, from 1983–1989, and moved to Citi/Smith Barney (now Morgan Stanley) from 1989–2010, where he served both high-net-worth clients and middle-market institutions. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Philip worked at J.P. Morgan Securities as a managing director and financial advisor. He graduated from Hobart College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Phillip has passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 exams.
Born and raised in the New York area, Philip lives in Connecticut with his wife, Kimberlie, and their three children.
