Rob is a second-generation financial advisor who joined our group in 2014. His unique legal and accounting background helps to bring all aspects of our clients’ financial lives into focus, so he can provide tax-considerate investment and retirement strategies. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Rob spent 15 years advising individuals and businesses on a wide variety of legal and accounting matters. Rob graduated from Boston College in 2000 with degrees in accounting and management information systems. After college, Rob started his career with KPMG LLP where he was responsible for planning and leading financial audit engagements. In 2009, Rob graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. Following law school, Rob worked as a corporate transactions attorney for a large Minneapolis law firm before serving as Associate General Counsel for the Optum division of UnitedHealth Group.
Rob is a Duluth native and proud graduate of Marshall School. In his free time, Rob enjoys golfing, cross-country skiing, playing music and spending quality time with his wife, Faith, and their son, Barrett, and outdoor adventures with their dog, Kirby. Rob served as a pro bono attorney for the LegalCORPS Small Business Clinic and the Gary New-Duluth Veterans Memorial and enjoys volunteering with Shriners Hospitals for Children, his local church and Marshall School, including past service on the Marshall Next Horizon Capital Campaign Committee. Rob is also active with the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Leadership Duluth Class of 2016. He previously served on the Leadership Duluth Steering Committee.
