Tim’s main focus when working with clients is a complete understanding of their current situation, goals, aspirations and fears, in order to provide a clear path to help them achieve their most important financial goals. He began his career in finance in 1987 with Allstate Insurance Company, later moving to Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch before joining RBC Wealth Management in 2020.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in management science from Plymouth State in 1987 and his Master of Science degree in economics from Rensselaer Poly Tech in 1995. Tim also has the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, has passed the Series 7, 9, 10, 31, 63 and 65 securities exams, and holds Connecticut, New York and California life, health and long-term care insurance licenses.
Active in his community, Tim is a 20-year member of the East Haddam Lions Club, a campaign cabinet member of the Valley Shore YMCA, and a board member for the Ray School Corporation, an endowment that supports vocation education in East Haddam, Connecticut. He has also been a youth soccer coach for more than 15 years.
Tim has been married to his wife, Lisa, for more than 30 years. They have two children, Madeline (26) and Reilly (21). Their labradoodle/ husky, Puck, has been with them for 14 years and their newest addition, stray kitten, Lucky, is keeping Puck young. Tim is a bike rider, kayaker and avid fan of their little lake cottage. He has also been a soccer player and coach for nearly two decades. Tim and Lisa enjoy travelling, when her teaching schedule allows, and Tim also plays golf in his free time.
