Loren has more than 40 years of financial services experience. From the very beginning of his career, Loren has had a deep and abiding interest in the families for whom he provides financial guidance, building and nurturing close relationships. Through the decades, his enthusiasm has only grown. It has earned him a place on the RBC Wealth Management Chairman’s Council that recognizes the firm’s premier financial advisors.
Loren is an Accredited Wealth Manager, having completed a cutting-edge program through the Estate and Wealth Management Institute of Michigan State University. He passed the Series 7 and 66 securities exams and is licensed for health and life insurance and annuities.
Loren earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the American University where he was captain of the wrestling team and the first to represent the school at the NCAA Wrestling Championships. He joined Ferris Baker Watts as a financial advisor in 1980 and eventually assumed leadership roles, serving on the FBW board of directors and chairing its Retail Advisory Board. FBW became part of RBC Wealth Management in 2009. Loren’s radio market commentaries may be heard on Bloomberg.
Loren is a lifelong resident of metropolitan Washington, D.C., having grown up in nearby Montgomery County, Maryland. His wife, Jamie, is a native New Yorker. Loren and Jamie are very proud of their sons, Collin and Matthew. Their favorite family activity is boating on the Chesapeake Bay. Loren is a committed advocate for American University wrestling, a program that produces All Americans and achieves academic excellence. He is a former trustee of the Concord Hill School and has served on committees of the Leukemia Society of the National Capital Area. Loren serves as the chairman on the Eagles Leadership Council at American University.
