James has helped build, manage, protect and transition wealth for a select group of individuals, families, business owners and endowments for more than 25 years. His dedication to client service has earned him membership in his predecessor firm’s prestigious premier advisors programs for the past 20 consecutive years. James is on track for recognition of a similar award program in his first full year at RBC Wealth Management.
Active in his community, James is a member of Rotary International and has served as a vice president of his rotary club. He was the original motivator and chairman of the Brookfield Sunrise Rotary Run, an event that raised significant funds for charities. After joining the Elmbrook Rotary Club, he has been one of the leading fundraisers and past chairman of Elmbrook Rotary’s Spikes for Tykes event that has raised over $750,000 for mostly children’s charities. James has also been involved in fundraising efforts at Marquette University High School for more than 30 years.
Previously, he spearheaded a workplace giving campaign for the United Performing Arts Fund. Additionally, James has been active in his church, serving on the St. Charles Parish Council from 2009–2011. He is also a co-founder of the St. Charles Thursday Morning Dynamic Men’s Group. Since 2014, James has been on the board of Andean Health and Development, which provides quality sustainable healthcare to the underserved in Latin America.
James earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In 1982, he attended the Austro-American Institute in Vienna, Austria for international studies. James lives with his wife and three children in Delafield, Wisconsin. In the past, James has enjoyed being a scout leader and youth baseball coach. He also enjoys spending time with family, playing tennis, water skiing, snow skiing and is an avid Wisconsin sports fan.
