Phil has been in the financial industry for over 25 years. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, he worked with Dow Jones and Co. as an analyst, tracking currencies against the US Dollar, as well as commodity futures. At RBC Wealth Management, Phil's focus is on comprehensive wealth management. This includes working with his clients to produce a strong retirement road map, an asset allocation based on his clients goals and objectives, and helping clients plan to ensure their assets pass to loved ones properly.
He graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in finance, has obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification and holds the Series 7, 63, 65, and Insurance licenses. Phil has also been nominated to the RBC Wealth Management President's Council, an award given for outstanding client service and care to select members of the firm. He has appeared on WMTR Radio AM 1250 as a guest on their “Talking Finances” show and was a guest panelist on WABC Radio, 770 AM’s Financial Make-Over with Adriane Berg. In addition, Phil was fortunate enough to be named in the NJ Monthly Magazines "Wealth Managers who scored highest in overall satisfaction".
His personal time is spent with his wife, Maribeth, and daughter, Isabella. Phil works for his family foundation, established in his mother, Patricia Ann Grella's honor, to raise money for those in need of Hospice care. They were given the community leader award from Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, in Newton NJ. Phil and his family also assist the causes of 11th hour rescue, to help great pets find loving homes. Phil is a member of The Knights of Columbus and an active member at St. Cecilia's Church in Rockaway, NJ. In his spare time Phil enjoys tennis racquetball, and is an avid supporter of Rutgers University Athletics and a die hard Oakland Raider fan.
