Cynthia Hansen leads Hansen Wealth Management Group. She is nationally recognized as a Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisor in 2020, 2021 and 2024, a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor in 2021 and 2024 and an AdvisorHub Advisor to Watch in 2023. Cynthia has experience in finance, structuring investments and strategy achieved through her career as a financial advisor, telecoms executive and CPA with Touche Ross (Deloitte).
Her team specializes in helping clients prepare for and navigate through significant life events and financial transitions. Life events include lifestyle changes like retirement or preparing for retirement, divorce, death of a loved one, marriage or remarriage. Financial transitions include receiving an inheritance, selling a business or large asset, exercising stock options or contemplating major investment portfolio changes. Cynthia believes in thoughtful planning, building genuine relationships and working with her clients to identify and understand the complexities of their financial situation. At the foundation of her practice is a commitment to educate and empower her clients. She develops personalized wealth plans with customized strategies and investment solutions to help her clients achieve what is most important to them.
Cynthia has an executive MBA from the University of Denver, an accounting degree from the University of Northern Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Cynthia is past member of the executive advisory board at the Daniels College of Business and of the Colorado Judicial Institute board of directors and its family law committee. She is past chair of the women’s initiative for City Year Denver, past chair of Cancer League of Colorado corporate advisory board, and past member of the financial literacy and member connections committees at the Colorado Society of CPAs. She is also past chair of Excelsior Youth Center board of directors and served on its finance committee. Cynthia is a founding member of the Virtual Exchange, a founding sister of Capital Sisters International and past member of Mile High United Way Tocqueville Society. She currently serves on the house committee and previously served on the membership committee at Colorado Golf Club.
She enjoys spending time with family and friends, philanthropy, golf, Pure Barre and a good novel.
