James is a senior vice president and financial advisor. As a man of discipline, James’ passion, hard work and dedication to his clients has not wavered since the start of his career over 20 years ago in the financial services and technology industries. Originally from Philadelphia and Boston, James earned a degree in economics from Franklin & Marshall College and an MBA in finance and strategic management from The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania. His interest in developing financial and investment strategies started during his studies at Wharton. After gaining investment experience as an equity research analyst at a San Francisco-based investment bank and management experience as an executive at industry-leading wireless telecommunication and internet companies, James worked at Merrill Lynch. He joined RBC Wealth Management in 2022.
James passed the Series 7 and 66 FINRA exams and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® professional designations. James provides clients with advice and guidance regarding their wealth planning and, as a qualified portfolio manager, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing customized strategies.
As an avid backpacker in his youth, James enjoys traveling with his family from Lake Tahoe and Hawaii to Asia and Europe. He enjoys healthy nutrition, skiing, golf and tennis. James and his wife, Julie, live in Dublin with their two children, Logan and Ella, where he volunteers and cheers for his son’s baseball team and his daughter’s soccer team.
