Canine Companions for Independence

The RBC Kirkland branch is a sponsor of Canine Companions for Independence. CCI assistance dogs are expertly trained in over 40 commands to increase independence and confidence to provide a lifetime of support to people with disabilities at absolutely no charge to the recipient. RBC is proud to sponsor CCI for the past two years.

Fight to End Hunger 2021

In our efforts to fight hunger the Kirkland branch volunteered at Food Lifeline for sorting and repacking food /nonfood items on Saturday 09/25.

Team RBC created 134,000 meals to help feed thousands of children and families that are in need.

Wealth, Wine, and Wall street Client Event 2019

The RBC Kirkland Branch hosted a client event, Pacific Northwest Wealth, Wine & Wall Street with speakers, Janet Engels, Director Portfolio Advisory Group, RBC Wealth Management; Lindsay Strickland, Analyst Portfolio Advisory Group, RBC Wealth Management and Carl Platou, Senior Vice President, American Funds at the Januik Winery in Woodinville. There were 120 guests and Advisors in attendance. Those present were excited to hear the informative and thorough market analysis and related to the comprehensive futuristic outlook by the speakers.The winery venue and food were exceptional and clients were very pleased with the event.

Back to School Shoe Drive 2019

We are proud to report that Kirkland branch members contributed shoes and money that went to buying 45 pairs of shoes for foster kids, plus a $250 donation directly to Treehouse. This will have a meaningful impact on these kids as they start the new school year. Thanks to everyone that contributed to this very worthwhile effort!

Christmas Giving 2018

Through Adopt-A-Family, the Kirkland Branch sponsored two families and donated 2 gifts for each child and a $100 gift card to Fred Meyer and a $150 gift card to Safeway for each family.

Blue Water Day 2016

On Blue Water Day, June 2, 2016 RBC awarded $5,000 Blue Water Grant to Kirkland Parks Foundation in support of restoration to Denny Creek at O.O. Denny Park, which will promote native vegetation along the Denny Creek riparian corridor and contribute to better water quality in the stream and Lake Washington. Kirkland Parks Foundation was chosen from among hundreds of applicants from around the world, based on its commitment to addressing water issues and protecting water in urbanized areas. RBC Blue Water Day 2015

In June 2015, Kirkland Branch employees, family, and community members gathered to help restore Kiwanis Park in Kirkland by removing invasive weeds, planting native species, and picking up litter along the waterfront. It was a fun and rewarding day for all of us!

The Great Puget Sound Duck Dash

The Great Puget Sound Duck Dash is Kirkland Rotary’s annual fundraiser and has been run for 16 years on the shores of Lake Washington. The race runs during the Kirkland Summerfest Festival and in 2014 was held on August 8th in Marina Park. The race has raised over $850,000 which goes directly back into the community through Kirkland Rotary’s various service projects. RBC Wealth Management has several Kirkland employees who are actively involved and regularly participate with the Rotary Club.

Seattle Junior Hockey and Golf Sponsorship

We are pleased to have sponsored our community junior hockey and golf associations. RBC sponsored a placard at the Oshie Sports Charity Golf Event, July 2014 and July 2015 and also sponsored Dasher Boards at the Seattle Junior Hockey Clubs for the 2013 season. These events are supported by several Kirkland advisors.
