Karl is a founding partner of the Lambert Dickson Group of RBC Wealth Management and has more than 30 years of experience as an investment strategist and tax lawyer advising institutions and affluent families. As a Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Karl leads the team’s investment and due diligence process and is a member of the RBC Alternative Investments Advisory Council and the RBC Institutional Consulting Group. He and Mike Dickson have been partners since 1992 and built their business by adhering to a disciplined asset allocation and investment process. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, Karl was a corporate tax lawyer at Arthur Andersen and the Winthrop & Weinstine law firm. In addition to the CFA® and CAIA® designations, Karl has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Indiana University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University. He has been involved in a variety of community activities in the Twin Cities and currently serves on the board of the Jungle Theater. He is also an avid tennis player.
