Billy began his career at PaineWebber in 2000 and worked at Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley and Southwest Securities before finding his way to RBC Wealth Management. Focusing on tailoring tax-free municipal bond portfolios for clients. Billy is the fourth-generation Brandenberger to be in the municipal bond business. He is honored to have been able to work with his grandfather, John Brandenberger, the first two years of his career and with his father, Bob Brandenberger, until his retirement in May of 2019 after 50 years in the business. Billy is an RBC Wealth Management President’s Council member and has served on the Fixed Income Advisory Council for RBC Wealth Management. He is also a member of the Institutional Middle Markets Team for RBC Capital Markets on both the fixed income and equity/options side.
Billy graduated from Texas Christian University with a double major in international communications and Spanish. He received his master’s degree in finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in 2010.
Billy was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and moved to Dripping Springs in 2015. He enjoys keeping his property maintained, as well as practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu. His two daughters', Bailey and Blair, interests are in volleyball, cheerleading and following in Billy's jiu-jitsu footsteps, help keep him on the go.
