Melissa joined RBC Wealth Management in May 2017, she started as the Administrative Complex Manager and transitioned to the Assistant Complex Manager role in January 2019. Starting in the financial services industry in 1996, she has passed her Series 7, 9, 10, 24 and 66 securities exams and holds Minnesota insurance licenses. Melissa brings more than 27 years of experience in the financial services industry to her role, having previously worked with Ameriprise, Raymond James and Wells Fargo in various management roles.
Melissa is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in sociology. As a leader, Melissa sees change as an opportunity to grow. She believes motivation comes from a clear vision, that employees are a collection of individuals connected to a higher purpose, and work should be fun. As a people manager, she is dedicated to the success of those she manages and sees her role as inspiring others to come together, utilizing everyone’s unique talents, experiences and ideas to build a better future.
Away from the office, Melissa enjoys volunteering and has been a member of several different boards. The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDRF) is an organization Melissa supports and is the RBC employee sponsor for JDRF. Her most recent board position was with the St. Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation, where she was involved with events such as St. Paul Winter Carnival. Along with her husband, Troy, and their two children, Lauren and Thomas, they enjoy hockey, golf, tennis, yoga, fishing and traveling.
