I became a registered representative in 1987 and have been in the financial services industry for 30 years. After completing the extensive curriculum required, I achieved the Certified Financial Planner™ and the Retirement Income Certified Professional™ certifications. Each year, I attend continuing education classes to remain certified. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics with a computer science minor from Wake Forest University in 1985.
I was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and was Interfraternity Council President. I enjoy giving back to my community and have taught financial classes at my church and in the community. I also have written articles for The Matthews Record magazine. I currently serve on boards of the Counseling Center of Charlotte and East Mecklenburg High School Foundation.
I grew up in Charlotte, NC where I graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. My wife, Missie, and I are active members of Providence Baptist Church in Charlotte. We have two daughters, Anna and Sarah. I have coached youth sports for 30 years.
