Qualifications
After graduating from Arizona State University in 1994, Sean began his career in the securities industry as an assistant and became a wealth manager in 2003. He passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities exams and holds life and health insurance licensures in a number of states. Sean completed Bryant University’s certificate program in financial planning and, in 2012, after completing the required coursework at the College of Financial Planning, earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation. The multi-year CFP® program entails in-depth courses, training and comprehensive examinations in all areas of financial planning, including investments, taxes, insurance, estate and retirement planning. He also earned the Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®) designation, which helps him assist businesses, large and small, in the construction, implementation and management of their company retirement plans.
Sean’s firm experience includes three years at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown as an associate and six years as a financial advisor at UBS Financial Services, Inc., before joining RBC Wealth Management in 2009.
His advice has been quoted in publications such as USA Today and The Capital Newspaper.
Personal
Sean lives in Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife and two children. He enjoys being active in the community and serves on the board of directors for the Anne Arundel Estate Council and as treasurer for the Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians (AMFM).
His prior community leadership roles have contributed to the success of the Annapolis Business Association, Downtown Annapolis Partnership, Maryland Seafood Festival, Eastport-A-Rockin’ Street Festival, the Entrepreneurs’ Exchange organization, the City of Annapolis Alcohol Beverage Control Board, the Admiral Heights Improvement Association, the 2014 City of Annapolis Economic Development Transition Team, Annapolis City Dock Action Committee and the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.
In his free time, Sean likes to snow ski, sail and cheer on the Arizona State University Sun Devils.
